Soil probe · designed by CT
Seven soil readings. No gateway needed.
Our own cellular probe measures moisture, temperature, EC, pH, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in each zone, and sends them straight to your dashboard over LTE-M or NB-IoT.

What it measures
Seven readings from every zone.
One 7-in-1 probe in each zone gives you the soil values most decisions depend on, plus on-board readings that keep an eye on the probe itself.
- 31%
Soil moisture
How much water the root zone holds right now.
%
- 12.4°C
Soil temperature
Drives germination and how fast nutrients become available.
°C
- 410µS/cm
Electrical conductivity
A signal of salinity and soil texture.
µS/cm · range 0–20,000
- 6.4pH
pH
Controls which nutrients the crop can actually take up.
Scale · range 0–14
- 38mg/kg
Nitrogen (N)
The nutrient most decisions, and most fertiliser spend, turn on.
mg/kg · range 0–1,999
- 22mg/kg
Phosphorus (P)
Root growth and early vigour.
mg/kg · range 0–1,999
- 165mg/kg
Potassium (K)
Water regulation and crop resilience.

Also on board
- GPS locationEach probe reports where it is, so it sits in the right zone on the map.
- Battery & chargingBattery level and charge status, with a safe shutdown when the battery runs low.
- Signal strengthCellular signal reported with every check-in, so weak spots are easy to find.
- Air temperatureAn on-board air temperature reading beside the soil values.

Connectivity
From the soil, straight to the cloud.
The probe has its own mobile connection, so a new zone needs a probe and nothing else. It reads the soil every five minutes by default and holds on to anything it cannot send yet.
Cellular, straight to the cloud
LTE-M (Cat-M1) and NB-IoT. The probe talks to the network itself, so there is no gateway, repeater or farm Wi-Fi to install.
A reading every five minutes
By default the probe samples the soil every 5 minutes. Burst mode, sent from the dashboard, switches it to a reading every minute.
Nothing lost in a dead spot
Readings are kept on the probe’s own flash memory and sent once coverage returns: store-and-forward.
Daily health check
Even when nothing changes, the probe sends a health packet every 24 hours, so you know it is alive.
Managed from the dashboard
Set it up once. Change it from anywhere.
Change how a probe behaves from your desk or your phone. New settings reach the probe the next time it checks in.
- Sampling and reporting intervals, set from the dashboard
- Choose which sensor channels are fitted and enabled, and switch GPS on or off
- Calibration values per probe
- Over-the-air commands: burst mode, restart, read the configuration, erase the probe’s memory, update its server address and switch its temperature source
- Set up probes one at a time or in bulk from a CSV file in the app
- A full log of every packet the probe has sent and received
